Year 8 Boys EMR Table Tennis
On Wednesday 23 October, four Year 8 boys represented the school in the Eastern Metropolitan Regional table tennis team. The team won their first 2 pool games against Templestowe Secondary & Lilydale Heights, 6 rubbers to 0.
Our last pool game against Balwyn High finished 3 rubbers each, however the games score was 9-15. This meant we qualified in second spot and therefore played against Doncaster East Secondary in the semi finals. The boys played exceptionally well winning 4 rubbers to 2.
We then met Balwyn High again in the Grand Final and despite some high quality matches, we finished runners up, going down 2 rubbers to 4. Well done to Junyan, Long, Divit & Julian for your outstanding performances and a big thank you to Harshaal for helping to score on the day.
