Year 12 Revolutions – History Trip
On Wednesday 27 April, both Year 12 History Revolutions classes travelled into the city for an excursion. The group was escorted by their teachers Ms McKay and Mr Myers.
The group attended the NGV to examine important pieces of art produced at the time of the French Revolution, during the 18th C. The classes analysed these artworks as primary sources and used them to expand their understanding of the French Revolution. Additionally, it was great for the students to see some tangible evidence from the time.
After the NGV the group of students visited the State Library in Swanston Street, where they explored various reading rooms and located lots of valuable historical resources. It was a great day to get out and explore all the wonderful historical resources that are at our disposal in the city. ~ Mr Jacob Myers
